Eight years ago Livy Buck and John Brooks had everything planned out for their lives after high school. But one night John Brooks left town, leaving Livy alone. Since then Livy has been living an interesting life. Kicked out of her home, married, gave birth to her daughter, divorced and the loss of her home to a gas leak. Then one day she spots John back in town.  
 
Unknown to Livy, John has been quietly investigating the gas leak that destroyed Livy's home. But what he's finding is leading him down a road that points to the danger in Livy's, and his daughter's lives. Can he forgive her for destroying his heart those years ago? Can he save her now?
